M5tec was founded in March 2014 by a group of time served engineers who bring experience and knowledge from various high profile industries such as Oil & Gas, Subsea, Nuclear and Renewables.  Our team consists of experienced, multi-disciplined and enthusiastic engineers who are committed to successfully delivering engineering excellence on every project.  This together with an up to date knowledge of the latest technologies and solutions, enables us to provide first class solutions to suit our client’s needs.

Our Directors

Craig Chalder – Managing Director

Craig started M5tec Limited in April 2014 to supply engineering support and consultancy to the UK, Europe and the rest of the world. M5tec limited is built on a solid understanding and passion for engineering and knowledge of industry needs. Craig has been in engineering all of his working career and has held various positions from Fabricator & welder to Lead Mechanical engineer. He has worked in various industries such as Oil & Gas, Subsea and Nuclear. Craig has over 15 years engineering experience. A qualified (BEng Hons) mechanical engineer he started his career as an apprentice fabricator and welder working in the Oil & Gas industry. He progressed to become draughtsman and principle draughtsman within this industry before moving into subsea engineering. Working as a mechanical engineer and progressing to lead engineer Craig has worked on first-in-the-world deep sea mining ROV’s as well as other high profile and high assurance projects within the subsea and nuclear industry. Taking what he has learnt from his experience and understanding the industries shortfalls he has create a company which will strive to provide a quality, reliable and flexible service for its clients

Carl Jones – Operations Director

Carl joined the board of M5tec Limited in May 2015 brining his engineering knowledge and leadership to the team. Since he has joined M5tec he has helped secure work, create effect ive company procedures and implemented design standards. These traits have helped create a company which will strive to provide a quality, reliable and flexible service for its clients. Carl is an enthusiastic engineer with over 15 years’ experience working on high profile projects within high assurance industries. He has both a practical and theoretical approach to work due to the various positions he has held throughout his career. Carl started his engineering career as a manufacturing engineer apprentice and due to his hard work and dedication progressed to become a qualified (BEng Hons) mechanical engineer. He moved into the subsea / Oil & Gas industry in 2011. Working as a mechanical engineer within the Subsea industry Carl became a natural leader and soon progressed to lead engineer where he was responsible for teams of multidiscipline engineers on various projects.
